Another Place!
Blundellsands, Liverpool.
A look through the Gallery/Archive confirms for me that I am not the first TrekLenser to photograph 'Another Place'. However, whilst not surprisingly, most of the other pictures concentrate on on the figures themselves in their magnificent setting, I decided that it was interesting as well to observe the way people reacted to seeing them close-up.

The silhouette exposure was on purpose and although I made several exposures - most with just the figure- I decided to include this man's unusual reaction.

Also please see Workshop.

Small adjustments to contrast and colour balance, cropped and straightened slightly

Bonjour Bill,
Une ambiance assez particulière et une lumière qui donne au sable des teintes métalliques. Bravo.
Bonne soirée.

Hi Bill,
Interesting image. The silhouttes are great, but the position a a bit too much centered. The light contrast is perfect though even like the silver reflection on the wet sand.
Overall a fine posting.

Beautiful composition Bill,
with 2 men silhouettes,
beautiful silver color tones,
very nice effect of the light reflected via ground water.
Bye bye

Hi Bill !
this is an absolutely cracking shot !
I like what you've done with the light - looks fantastic.
Excellent crisp silhouettes -- and the ripples in the water add a nice touch :-)
If I may nit-pick, perhaps the lit area could do even better more off-centre.. and having read your note the one with just Antony Gormley's figure only - may look promising too !

Well done. Best regards, Daniel

Yes Bill
Another one to hit the moon
and we can be over the moon with a fine post like this
All settings good ISO 150 by F8 .. good result

Oh friend Bill, this is one of your top best
Excellent how you control light here and contrast.
It looks Silverish but is a Golden shooting
TFS friend

Hello Bill,
An interesting composition, the silhouetted men stand out well in the heavy backlight!
I like the shimmering effect created in the wet sand, as it adds life to the scenery...
