Everybody Out of the Pool
You'll have to inform other TL members, including myself, how you managed to remove the noise & get this image so sharp, when downsizing for TL downloads.
I really like the color,details & sharpness,of your Gosling
very well done.Just becuase an object is part of a scene, I feel is no reason to keep it in an image, if it harms the main subject,& I'm sorry Lori, but leaving in that large out of focus green at the bottom, really does an injustice, to the first rate capture of the Gosling. The Gosling is deserving of
a high rating but the inclusion of the green reduces the high quality of this image for me.

Lori, I agree with Ron. The gosling is in perfect sharpness and lighting is fantastic but that green out of focus leaf is ruining the whole lot. Maybe if you cropped a portrait including the wings you could have obtained a marvelous presentation. It's a pity such neat work and composition is ruined by this ugly intruder!
I give full merit from the sharpness and neatness. Next time more attention!!!
My best regards,

I plead innocence but I do not know how you could remove the green OOF part without amputating the gosling's leg. Perhaps clone it over with more foreground? Whatever, I agree that it is a little distracting at first but the longer I look at this image the less "disturbing" that part becomes until it does not worry me anymore. The gosling itself is just fabulous! Well done!

You have a very sharp image here with perfect clarity. Wjhatever your are doing to your resizing workflow for TL in this case is spot on. A very cute expression of your subject and despite the foreground object, I still think you image has very strong merits. I agree that cloning or cropping it out you may lose more than your would gain.

Beautifully sharp shot of this gosling, it is in a superb pose for you but I am in agreement with a few others here that the leaf in the foreground is a bit distracting - you could copy the right foot and paste over the left, adjust brightness and contrast to bring it up to the level of the part of the leg that is showing and clone around to make it look natural - an experiment waiting for you to try :-) Great shot and one to be proud of. Best wishes

Hi Lori, this is one of your sharpest yet, well done.I love the sun shining on the little guy. Sometimes you cant avoid things in front, just would have been better if it was separate leaves instead of a large piece. Fiona
