By the Beach
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Just back from a week away here in the island of Alderney - the most northerly of the Channel Islands and part of the British Isles.. (Actually not a part of the United Kingdom but for things like citizenship, money etc it's as good as in the UK)|
I lived here for 2 years back in the 90's so it was a 'memory lane' trip.
These buildings are just to the west of 'Braye Beach'- one of many beautiful sandy beaches on the island. The weather was unusually good for the time of year...
Shot in RAW, cropped, tweaked contrast and converted to JPEG.

A well chosen perspective David.
The gorgeous blue sky and clouds really help set the scene.
Looks like a wonderful place to live.

Excellent crisp view of this nice part of (NOT)England :-) The panoramic crop works well. Great colour contrast of the orane roofs against the blue sky.
lovely light, great textures and i love the repeating patterns of the roofs.
well composed shot.
I'm not familiar with this place. I am sure it was interesting living on the island. I can only imagine the seafood! YUM.... Nice colorful buildings. I like the angle you have chosen with the repetitive roof lines. Nice warm colors on the rooftops.
thanks for sharing, lisa
