[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
OK..For those who had a look at yesterday's picture...thanks. One person who saw this animal recognised what it was (Well done Michael). I had never heard of a FOSSA until I went to this small zoo for endangered species near Deal in Kent when I was visiting in the summer. Both photos were taken through glass which was a bit tricky. The way this animal moved was incredible. It is very powerful and sturdy.
It seemed a cross between a cat and a dog but with a very long body. Sadly this photographer has chopped off the approaching front foot. It does give you a reasonable view of a quite unique animal though.
