|Hong Kong park is a great place to spend a bit of time if you are in town. You go to Pacific place and take the escalators up towards the British Council, High Court and the Shangri La hotel. The park itself is beautifully kept and is surrounded by some of the most striking modern architecture there is. It also hosts a conservatory and an aviary. Both of which are superb and offer opportunities for the keen snapper. The orchid house and the cactus displays are fabulous. This shot was taken with the sun behind the petals and I was pleased with the effect. (Slightly increased saturation and contrast.) I thought it looked quite 'angelic'. Orchids are beautiful flowers!|
I used a macro lens but did not enlarge or zoom the resulting picture.
Hope you like it. I thought of framing it but I think the simplicity of the subject does it all.

I really like this. I love the intensity of light and colour, the use of negative (and positive) space, the shallow DOF and the semi-abstract appearance.
