[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this last summer while spending the day at the park with my granddaughter. Here she is showing off at the very top of the monkey bars. I played around with Photoscape and would be interested in your thoughts. Thank you.

Lovely portrait Karen - and the effect is quite impressive. Like a canvas print which some of the portrait photographers offer... Definitely got a twinkle in her eyes!

Nice capture. The strand of hair down the middle of her face adds interest without hiding the eye. I'm not convinced about the texture filter (Photoscape) - I think the photo would be a success without it.

Very beautiful portrait. Wonderful expressions and composition. I think without texture effect the image is strong.

hi karen, she is a beautiful child and capturing this wonderful joy in her face is all that really matters but to us photographers we get picky with all the rest.
this effect could make a fuzzy photo look great (perhaps) i do like the old look to it, like a photo out of an old shoe box, its neat for sure,
well done,
thanks scott

Hi Karen,
you caught her spirit wonderfully with this capture, smiling eyes as well as a captivating smile,I think your grand-daughter is probably a real live wire & a very happy young girl.I like the texture you chose for this. Can't think of a thing I could suggest to improve it,well taken.

Hi Karen...nice shot...I like the pose and the texturing...well done.

Hello Karen,

This is utterly delightful!
You have captured a wonderfully playful expression, emphasised by the slightly tousled hair.
I love the textured effect, used by some photographers to make a kind of painted portrait effect from their photographs.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Wonderful portrait my friend!
Very nice and interesting work.I like it.Regards.

Hi Karen,
Nice photo, I like the canvas-like effect you've gone with. Good composition too, I'm sure her parents will be proud of this shot :).

Hi Karen

The texture screen is an innovative & artistic addition, to this standard portrait of the smiling girl. Good sharpness, framing & a nice, high key toned bg. Tfs!

Hello dear Karen,

Congratulations with such a beautiful granddaughter!
Indeed: she seems like a princess.
I like this canvas effect.

TFS and greetings from Netherlands,

Hi Karen
An artistic portrait of this pretty girl. The applied filter makes it more attractive.
Best wishes

Bonsoir Karen,
Très jolie portrait de cette jolie princesse.
jolies couleurs naturelles et détails,
I love the texture filter who give the impression of a paint, beautiful smile and she is very pretty..

Hi Karen
Really nicely done. She fills the screen and her body and head are on an angle. You have catchlight in her eyes and the texture you applies works well too.

HelLo Karen,
Well taken portrait with nice texture effect.
I loved joy on her eyes and scattered hairs

hello Karen,

regards, terry

Hi Karen,a lovely shot of your grand-daughter;the title is very appropriate.
I haven't seen the textures efect used very much on TL but it seems to work quite well here.[It has certainly started an interesting debate.]
I like her eye contact with you, and that cheeky smile!
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Karen!
Pretty smiling face! lovely portrait!
wonderful pose and expression ,great
texture effect!
Regards and tfs

Hello Karen.
Very nice result you archived here. good work on it.
Lovely picture on canvas.!
Regards from Jan

Beautiful child and well captured. IT would be good to see the origina in a workshop so that we could compare the two but the shot is well composed, the low pov removes distracting objects the leaves add to the shot rather than detract. The colours and details are excellent. Good job
warm regards

I love the picture, your granddaughter looks like and angel. I let a workshop for you, hope you like it.

Wonderful portrait - nice shot. Beautiful soft colours.I like the pose and the texturing.Very well done.

hello Karen,
a delightful portarit of your darling granddaughter.I like the composition and I can see (just) that its's well expopsed. I say 'just' because I think the canvas effect in pp detracts rather than enhances this. Hope you don't mind me saying so.

Hi Karen,
I do like this one, she looks so happy and relaxed. Well done to you for capturing the moment, they are so fleeting and so easy to miss.
I like the 'canvas' texture, but I think the foliage top left distracts a little.
PS, I visited you Thursday night NZ time, when TL went off the air.
