[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last week I had to drive to the Circle Square Ranch at Helkirk Alberta to pick up my 14 year old from camp. Because of my back injury, it took me 4 days to do this 1 day trip, but along the way I took alot of pictures and this is one of them.

Hi Karen,
It shows how determined you are to travel for 4-days despite your back injury. Good idea to stop off here, looks like you got a nice shot. I like the warm lighting, the posts are a great focal point too. Such lucky people to live in the house across the lake. Well seen.

Hi Karen
I hate to hear that your back is still causing you so much pain. However, taking your time and stoping at differnt locations to take shot must have been fun. This is an outstanding capture of the ranch. I like the POV, the light and detail in the shot. I would love to live in a place like this one day. I hope your feeling better soon. Great work here.

Oooooh HAW, Karen,
what a silver lining to such a dark cloud. Right from the start I have been in awe of your eye for composition and this is a prime example. Beautifully divided and balanced, wonderful color, fabulous lighting and I love the graphics. This is one beautiful shot! Many thanks and hope you are much better soon!

Hi Karen

A superb downward pov, with the line of wooden poles, adding excellent lead in lines, & diminishing linear perspective. Good colour, framing, & sharpness. Have a nice weekend!

Hello Karen,

The warm light on the f/g is so welcoming and makes a fine contrast with the blues of the water and sky.
The posts add perspective as well as leading to the off-centre focal image which has a lovely reflection in the water.
A lot of enjoyable elements in one shot!

Hope you're feeling better,
Bev :-)

quel tons doux sur ton iamge, superbe , ces coulerus dorés sur cette belle campage, avec la plan d'eau, la barrière, la maison blanche, splendide.

bravo et amitié

What a scene. Beautiful place, I imagine it's a different sight altogether in winter, but what a magical little slice of the Earth - well composed indeed.
