Hello Karen! SO good to see you here again! Another lovely barn! I am like you, I know these beautiful things won't be around forever...and the newer barns don't have the same charm! Nice thirds on this!

you have certainly caught the decay of this old weathered Red barn,it looks like its end is very near.As you know we have a few in our neighbourhood to,& after viewing your one,it made me wonder how much longer the ones here will be around, time to check them out I think.I like that you gave it space,to give the composition that rural feeling, rather than Zoom in to just the old barn on its own.

Welcome back dear friend!
Great sense of space here. Cloudy sky and fenced field make a peaceful decor for this old and tired barn.

I think that building is beautiful and dangerous at the same time. Never let a child play in it ! ;-)
Good and nostalgic capture of this building, with its typical architecture.
Colors and composition are great.

This is Francis in Nova Scotia.
You commented on my latest post "Angry Sky."
I love the old buildings too and have a special fondness for old barns.
You have capyured this one nicely, with a good POV and composition.

Hi Karen, what a state this poor barn is in!
At first I was unsure about the space that you had left around the barn but the more that I look at the shot, I can understand your decision to leave the composition as we find it.
Nevertheless I would like to see some close ups of the delapidated condition of this old building.
It looks as if a strong gale could cause it to topple fairly soon.
Good natural colours.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Somptueuse image du temps qui passe et s'éffondre malgré lui!!! L'instantané de ce cliché rural restera unique.
Magnifique composition harmonieuse entre la végétation et le ciel nuageux qui s'étale.
TFS. Best regards.

A great shot. The barn strikes me as more dead than retired however. The surrounding pasture provides a peaceful atmosphere for the demise. All the best,Otto.

Just as well you didn't leave this much later Karen, it just may get flattened next time there is a breeze.
It's a lovely record of the buildings last days.
I feel a hefty crop at the top, and crop the bottom up to the fence would turn this into real photojournalism.
