Hi Treklens Friends:
After a long time I am posting an image here.
1. Capture image in RAW (this one is of my wife taken in a room with a bounce card)
2. Open in Photoshop CS3 (Layer 1)
3. One layer Pallet 'Right-click' & choose Duplicate Layer
4. Be sure to select the top layer in the layer Pallet
5. In the Menu Bas choose 'Filter' and scroll down to 'Smart Blur' option
6. Using the options in Dialog box blur the image making skit to look very smooth
7. While the top layer still selected, in the Tool Bar select erase tool
8. On the top of the option set the opacity of the erase tool to 50%
9. On the upper left, in the 'Brush' option choose a smooth looking round brush
10. Adjust the size of the brush small enough to to go over cheek area
11. While top layer still selected, start to erase the areas where you want the detail to show up from the second layer
12. Here I have mostly erased hair, lips and the eyes on the top layer to show up more details and sharpness from the second layer underneath

Exif info:
Canon 5D; Lens: EF28-135 USM
F Stop: F/8
Shutter Speed (On tripod) 1/30 Sec to take advantage of ambient light to catch more details with IOS 200.
There you have it. If you are new to photography & try this to adjust & avoid
the unwanted skin details then this is for you.
Have fun & thank you for viewing.
David Phillipe

Blending two images together in PS:
In the first layer crop out selected area using Magnetic lasso tool.
Apply Action filter/image effects/oil pastel on the main image behind the layer.
That is all.
